Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Coffee Collector, a digital loyalty card platform for coffee shops (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Ryan, a sole proprietor doing business as "Coffee Collector" ("we," "us," "our"), based in Arden, North Carolina.

By signing up for or using Coffee Collector, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Coffee Collector is

Coffee Collector lets a coffee shop ("you," "your shop") replace paper punch cards with a digital stamp card that lives in a customer's Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Staff scan a customer's card at checkout to add a stamp; customers redeem a reward once they reach the threshold you set.

2. Plans and billing

• Stamp (V1) — $10/month for your first shop, $7/month for each additional shop under the same account.
• Insight (V2) — $40/month for your first shop, $30/month for each additional shop under the same account.
• Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• If you're not satisfied within the first 14 days of your very first payment, contact us for a refund. This is an informal, one-time policy for a shop's first billing cycle — not a recurring refund on every renewal.
• Prices are set per shop and may change with notice. Changing a shop's tier or adding a shop updates your billing going forward, not retroactively.

3. Cancellation

You can cancel any one of your shops at any time from your owner dashboard, independently of any other shops on your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period — you keep full access until then, and we don't refund the remaining time on a cancelled period.

Once a cancelled shop's period ends, it's archived: your staff and customers can no longer join or add stamps, and your own login to that shop is disabled. Archived shop data is kept for 90 days in case you want to restore it, then permanently deleted.

4. Your responsibilities

• Keep your staff PIN and your own login credentials reasonably secure. You're responsible for activity that happens through your shop's staff scan page.
• Honor the rewards you configure. If your shop's card says "10 stamps for a free coffee," that's a promise to your customer, not to us — we just track the count.
• Don't use the Service for anything illegal, or in a way that abuses or attempts to defraud the platform, other shops, or their customers.

5. Customer relationship

Your customers' loyalty cards, and the rewards they're working toward, are between you and them. Coffee Collector provides the technology; we're not a party to the relationship between your shop and your customers, and we're not responsible for disputes about whether a specific reward was honored correctly.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service reliably available, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We're not liable for lost business, lost customers, or lost stamps resulting from downtime, bugs, or issues with third-party services we rely on (including Apple, Google, Stripe, or your point-of-sale provider).

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Termination by us

We may pause or remove a shop that violates these Terms, engages in fraud or abuse, or has a payment that fails and isn't resolved within a reasonable grace period. We'll try to notify you first where practical.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
